I do not like the soap that is provided in the condos. I buy or bring my own body wash or white bar of soap. Otherwise, everything is perfect and I always love my stay at Villas Sacbe. I think housekeeping services were the best ever on this past visit. Thank you!

Appreciated the staff helping us carry grocerys up to our condo. Loved that housekeeping cleaned the outdoor grill. Eric even made a set of twin beds up to a King and took care of a maintenance issue with the outdoor grill. We enjoyed our stay and felt very catered to.

We found the El Taj Condo beautiful and are very interested in coming back. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We found the service in the restaurant/bar friendly, but very slow, despite how many waiters were available. We also found it very expensive and usually went elsewhere for drinks and meals.

We had to check out early due to the death of my husband's dad. The guy at the front desk could not have been more helpful. He got everything taken care of for us super fast, and also arranged cab service for us to the airport. Our maid was wonderful, as well. I have never seen anyone take her job as seriously as she did. Every day when she was through, the condo looked as it did the first day we got there - immaculate!

Reception - recommend some music, the arrival experience is great, I believe you have a great opportunity in creating a hotel arrival but much friendly, it should be like arriving to your best friend home. The registration card is too complicated, realize that some legal stuff must be included, many of the information can be transfered from the reservation data.

Dishwashers should be functional. Our TV system in El Taj #357 was beautiful but non-functional. We reported it several times, but no one ever came to fix it. We gave up! The El Taj upgrade you gave us was phenomenal and unexpected, especially since we were celebrating a wedding and needed the space to get the bride dressed, hair and make-up etc. We would definitely recommend your facilities to our friends traveling to Playa del Carmen. Thank you so much for everything--our guests were immensely happy with their accommodations as well!!

TVs in both bedrooms were fuzzy-not sure why. When we arrived, our initial reservation for Villas Sacbe was not honored, but they upgraded us at no cost to Maya Villas, and they were wonderful. So, while we were initially upset, we thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Maya Villas. It had all the amenities of home and was so pleasant to return to after a day of shopping and sun. The staff, from Evelyn to Fredrick, and even to Juan were wonderful to our entire group staying at MV. We couldn't have been happier with our experience

Upon check-in I was given a pass to the gym for 50% off. It was my understanding that was free and it was also in the hand out I received upon check-in. When I point that out he just crossed that out and said that was wrong. I talked to other guests that were staying there and they stated the same thing happened to them upon check-in. Ended up using the gym (great gym by the way) without any problems and they did not charge me when I told was staying at the El Taj.

The only reason I gave the housekeeping a 4 rating is that the maids did not always replace the towels and dish cloths when they took them away. We often had to request that these items be delivered after the maids had left. The rooms were cleaned very well. Also, we had problems with our hot water tank. No one came by to look at it a day after I mentioned this problem to the front desk. I looked at the hot water tank myself, and it was a simple problem where one of the maids accidentally unplugged the tank from the electrical outlet with a broom. Regarding the beach club, I think you should make it more clear that the pool at The El Taj is not included as part of the common facilities in the beach club. Initially, we were able to use the pool at El Taj, but half way through our holiday we were told that we could no longer use the pool. If everyone understands the rules before hand, then there would be no confusion and disappointments. Thank for for making our holiday very enjoyable. Peter

The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and accomodating. When we had questions whether about an activity or internet connections they were answered immediately. We needed an activity that would work for our family, 3 kids ages 6,10, and 12, that was NOT an all day tour. We were told about Rio Secreto, the cenotes. It was AMAZING!!!! we were gone from 10:30 -2:00 , 3-1/2 hours was the perfect amount of time. Thanks again! We loved the location of Playa Porto. I was at first a little worried about not being directly on the beach and a little concerned about being "in town". We loved being 1 block away from all the fun activities and 1 block away from the beach. The pool, although not huge or elaborate, was perfect for our needs. My daughter, age 6, learned how to swim while on vacation! Our kids had a blast in the pool and didn't seem to care that it wasn't a "big resort" pool! We would recommend Porto Playa and already have!!!!

The barbeque tonges are in the main floor bathroom above the hot water tank. We had to hide them from the kids and forgot them up there. security was great and helpfull as well as the night time gal at the front desk. Thank you for a great stay. All in all it was a great holiday. The location is great as it is one block from the beach as well as one block from 5th Avenue. What I liked is when we returned to the condo we were still far enough away that we could not hear 5th Avenue, as it is one busy place. I am an early bird so it was nice in the morning getting up early and taking a walk on 5th Avenue.

I was VERY impressed with the entire experience from start to finish. Lourdes and Frederic at reservations were helpful and very accomodating. And all of the employees at the desk at Porto Playa were more then helpful. They would bend over backward to take care of any request. One of the girls came to our place to help me read directions for my sons medication. We had to take him to the Hospiten because he was sick and everyone at the desk was VERY kind, and helpful. The people at Porto Playa and Maya Villa and even the new staff at Taj are what made our trip exceptional. I will definitly return as often as possible and will refer it to everyone I know. a couple of days housekeeping put the air conditioning on when we were out, this caused the floors and counters and dishes to all be soaking wet which made the floors very slippery and dangerous. Everything else was super. Thanks for everything.

We loved the Condo Playa Sacbe. It was a beautiful place and we were well taken care of by our housekeeping service! Had a little trouble with the pre arranged transportation from the airport. There was no one there and we had to take a taxi depite pre paying for transportation from the airport. However this was taken care of by the front desk staff as stated in our information.

We had a wonderful stay. The front desk staff, the housekeeping staff and the security and maitenance staff were awesome. They were warm and extremely helpful. Lourdes Diaz was extremely helpful from reservations to checkout. I didn't want to leave! The grounds and condo are lovely. Only concern: keep X-mas Pointsetta plants away from Koi fish, as plant is toxic. I loved the Koi fish, turtles and Asian motif, absolutely wonderful. We even named the turtles. Nothing else to possibly complain about. Great stay!!!!!

I look forward to staying at the last resort el taj beach front. I hear from my friend Roberto a local chef in town who dropped by with his wife to see maya villa 417, that there is already a showroom set up. From my original stay at porto playa to this even improved stay at maya villa, im sure the new el taj will top my expectations once again when i visit. It was amazing to see how playa has grown and how much jack has accomplished with these projects since i was last there and he introduced himself at porto playa. It was another A+ experience and was hard to come home! -GL

Our rooftop was pretty dirty when we got there and it took 24 hours to get it cleaned. The New Taj destroyed the view from our condo and we would have rented a different one if we had known. Overall I would recommend El Taj.

The amenities in the condo hotel were excellent. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Our family really enjoyed our stay at Porto Playa and we found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and attentive to any requests that we had. The lush tropical garden sanctuary with the swimming pool and the overflowing waterfalls was like a quiet oasis in the heart of Playa del Carmen. The subtle lighting at night was very beautiful. The private rooftop terrace with Jacuzzi and BBQ was a highlight. We would definitely recommend Porto Playa to our friends and relatives!

My husband, along with myself and another couple LOVED the Porto Playa Condos. It was centrally located and the rooms were gorgeous and updated!I will highly recommened it to my clients, friends & family! We stayed at Porto Playa for 4 days and then stayed at the Royal Hidaway (all inclusive) which was a huge dissappointment. We wanted to come back and do the remainder of our stay at Porto Playa. We can't wait to book our next trip. We especially loved the private chef we hired to cook and serve an AMAZING meal for us! The chef along with his assistant did an unbelievable job of cooking, serving, and cleaning up! It was a real treat! We also would like to commend the cleaning crew who also did a great job in the condo...we really appreciate them!

We used the rooftop patio EVERY SINGLE EVENING and we loved it............ EXCEPT for the excessive amount of dust that was constantly present which made it feel dirty. I know the dust was coming from the new construction of El Taj Beachfront, BUT the cleaning staff should have been instructed to keep it clean for guests who used that rooftop patio EVERY day.

the pool and hot tub temperatures were strangely inconsistent. Too cold one day, too hot the next. Extremes. The internet didn't work properly for our first 3 days, but it was resolved. The grill on our balcony didn't work, I reported it, but no one came to look at it. The maid service was WONDERFUL. It was great to return to such a clean place every day. Front desk people were always polite and helpful. Security was polite as well. We'll be back.

For our stay in 221, the house cleaning was very good but was an all day event. We had several guests wanting to take siestas and the such but housekeeping was there for 6 hours of our day. Also, it took 3 days (and multiple trips to front desk) to get the master bedroom balcony unlocked.

We think prospective renters should be asked if they want the fridge stocked prior to their arrival. The fridge was so full of drinks that we had no place to put our food. If renters were asked prior to occupancy they would not have to call housekeeping to have it removed. Give them the option instead of filling the fridge without their consent. We were told that housekeeping would be there prior to us leaving the unit to do a check but after 2 requests to have the check done we had to leave without having it done. We believe it would be appropriate to have someone available to do the check in a timely manner which would prevent renters from an unfair assessment.
