Playa del Carmen started as a small town called "Fishermen Village" or Xaman-ha meaning "North Waters". They commercialized King Fish and Snapper depending on the season.
The boats are all members of the Touristic Company "Playa del Carmen" founded in 1998. All boats are fully insured and equipped with all the security equipment necessary for your safety (life jackets, flare gun, radio, and first aid kit).
Fishing tours are four hours and departure times are at 7am and 1pm. Full day tours are available.
- 25-26 ft. boats can take up to 4 people for the price of $220 USD
- 29 ft. boats can take up to 6 people for the price of $250 USD
* Full day tours include a free picnic at a secluded beach.
Fishing tours include trolling, deep sea and/or fly fishing. Drinks (beer, sodas and water), bait, and fishing equipment
will be provided. All fish will be filleted free of charge upon request.
At the end of the day take your catch to Negrosal Restaurant
and they will cook it up for you for just $15 USD per person. You can choose from the following sides to be served with your freshly caught meal.
